“The Silent Cry of History: Ahiska Turks from Yesterday to Today”
On November 14, 1944, the Meskhetian Turks were hastily removed from their homes by Soviet soldiers who surrounded their villages, preventing anyone from escaping. They embarked on a journey of exile, leaving behind their possessions, belongings, and memories. On the 81st anniversary of this exile, a commemoration event titled "The Silent Cry of History: Meskhetian Turks from Past to Present" will be held.
We welcome all interested in this meaningful event, organized jointly by Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, the World Meskhetian Turks Association (DATÜB), the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
