Our Faculty Agricultural Genetic Engineering Department 4th Year Students Visit Ankara Field Crops Central Research Institute

Our faculty Agricultural Genetic Engineering Department 4th year students, within the scope of TGM4001-Seed Science and Technology course, made a technical trip to Ankara Field Crops Central Research Institute, Turkey Seed Gene Bank, Biotechnology Research Center and Seed Registration and Certification Center Directorate.

The trip started with a visit to Seed Registration and Certification Center, where information was obtained about seed certification and variety registration processes and laboratories were visited. Then, a short information was given about the protection of our country's genetic resources at Turkey Seed Gene Bank and seed depots were visited. Finally, information was obtained about the studies at the Biotechnology Research Center and unit laboratories were visited.
