Graphic Design Students Conduct Technical Visit to Yeşil Bor Newspaper

Students from the Graphic Design Program at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University's Bor Halil Zöhre Ataman Vocational School visited Yeşil Bor Newspaper and ESC Offset Printing House to learn about printing techniques firsthand.

As part of the "Printing Techniques" course, students from the Graphic Design Program at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University's Bor Halil Zöhre Ataman Vocational School conducted a technical visit. During the program, students visited Yeşil Bor Newspaper and ESC Offset Printing House, gaining the opportunity to examine the printing industry on-site.

During the visit, 2nd-year Graphic Design Program students closely observed offset printing processes, reinforcing their theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students received detailed information about everything from pre-press preparation stages to plate making, the printing process, and post-press operations, gaining the opportunity to see all stages of the production chain firsthand. During the visit, Yasin Düzgün from Yeşil Bor Newspaper explained offset printing techniques to the students through practical demonstrations. Düzgün demonstrated the working principles of printing machines step by step, and also shared comprehensive information about the types of inks used, paper types, and factors affecting print quality. Students had the opportunity to closely examine the machines' operation and ask questions about what they were curious about. The highly productive technical trip made a significant contribution to the students' professional development and increased their awareness of the sector. Students who had the opportunity to experience a real production environment gained valuable insights for their future careers.
